New York city is the city that nevers sleeps. If the city never sleeps then you would expect it to have one hell of a nightlife. For decades people ahve been going to nightclubs to have a good time. For almost a year now, Oscr P and Davidson Ospina, two names that need no introduction in the House scene have been holding a monthly I'll House You party at Bar 13 in New York City. Every month the two House legends come together to bring New York some of the hottest DJs around and in some cases live performances as well. Provided is a video that was done by Derek McCullum of Haggard Entertainment & Marketing for Bobby DeFalco of VIP Club Life Productions. Bobby is one of the hottest promoters in the scene and can be traced all the way back to the days of Limelight, Studio 54 and Pladium. Bobby wanted something that would set him apart from the other promoters for the event, and this video was so popular that when it went out to the 1000+ person email blast, Oscar P himself looked at it 11 times. So impressed Oscar P. decided to create his own video for an upcoming event in Washington DC. Needless to say the efforts of both Bobby DeFalco and Derek McCullum were a success and shall team up again for next month's installment. Make sure to stay tuned for more details....

B. Martin & Xavier White - "City Girls"
Hello my fellow music lovers, tonight I bring you two indie artists from New York. The artists, Brendan Martin and Xavier White decided to collaborate awhile back and since have released their new single "City Girls" with follow up dance remixes in the works. Brendan, originally from Upstate New York, and Xavier, from Clifton Park, New York are quite the musical duo. Brendan who is a rapper and xavier who has an R&B background have a lot to offer the music industry. Brendan himself a recent graduate of the University of Albany, has been the business minded manager for the two artists and has been making a lot of headway and relationships within the industry. The duo was recently brought to my table to help them market their "product" more effectively as well as consult them on expanding their fanbase. With a lot of potential and catchy tracks, a bright future is expected for these two.

Dairon Skye - Psychedelic
Whenever an artist leaves for any length of time, we always expect their return to be larger than their departure and it is anticipated for the unthinkable. This was my thought perception when I came across Indie Artist Dairon Skye for yet the second time to give me the industry insight’s on his E.D.M. influenced track, “Psychedelic” – offering an insider’s view of a world that main stream music lovers knows so little of.
The track begins with a deep baritone welcoming the “newbies” to this underground fascination and prepares the listener for an indescribable occurrence. As the song progresses, the taunting “Do you wanna play” chant is not infectious but an addicting ear candy for the brain as we, the listeners are craving to be engulfed in this new found heaven that Skye has vividly painted.
On this track, we are not being seduced by Skye’s four octave range as the manipulation of auto tune is used to assist the singer in creating the message that lies between the lyrics which only a true raver can decode. “While discovering this scene for myself, I learned about the different lingo that was spoken and how inviting this scene was. I had felt as if I was on a different planet because everything just seemed so out of place to me but in some awkward way, it all made sense.”
The once R & B crooner, then turned self-proclaimed “fusion artist” now raver in training, and all within three years in the industry! Dairon Skye has morphed seamlessly with every new platform of his career, a career path that Skye has contemplated on and endures knowing that it may resulting in losing the loyal fan base that made him who he is today.
“Music is an experience in my eyes. As a musician, I feel that it is my job to tell stories to the public and to make sense of it all. “Psychedelic” is just one of those tracks that I had to do research on – I watched movies about the underground scene, I attended a multitude of raves and came across some of the most interesting people. The funny thing is that while I was preparing for the release of “S.Ex”, I was presented with this track and knew that I just had to lend my vocals to it somehow.”
In the course of the creating process, Skye guarantees that his live performance to depict this world will have elaborate costuming, intricate choreography and the same entertainer quality that would still snatch the heart of an R & B music lover. With the world now becoming accustomed to the American created, UK polished trend in music – Dairon Skye has proven that he is no longer suffocatin’, still spontaneous and now giving us the one on one of how to be psychedelic. Victoria Martin is known to many as......
The One Who Sings!!! This title was given to here at the tender age of six, All through preschool and Kindergarten, she would sing jingles and songs she heard on the radio and T.V. Commercials. She LOVED to sing. Victoria was encouraged to sing by her grandmother Daisy and her Aunt Marie, she would sing for anyone without even an ounce of intimidation. Victoria began singing in church and states her favorite songs are spiritual church Songs. Victoria was always seen smiling. This began the development of a beautiful personality and a talented Singer. By the age of eight she won a State wide writing competition. The recognition and the experience helped to develop her into a great motivating writer. Today she can write to almost ANYTHING And MAKE IT SOUND GREAT!!! Even as a child, Many noticed the strong, sharp voice. Her style began to develop as a young girl. The strength, the tone, and distinctive growl-like sound was described by many as a SOUL STIRRING VOICE. These characteristics made her voice stand out and are appreciated by many. While elevating through elementary school, Victoria was admired and encouraged by her music teacher, Mrs. Barton, to never stop singing or writing. MUSIC WAS TO BE THE PATH VICTORIA WAS DESTINED FOR! With a beautiful smile, Wonderful personality and A STRONG VOCAL ABILITY! Victoria began to get the attention of MANY ... By the AGE of 17, Shortly after she found out what it was like to HAVE FANS! After entering many local talent shows and winning them unanimously; she then began to make her mark. It was then; Victoria realized the power in her voice. She had the ability to make people cry, smile and even win hearts with her VOICE! Soon many requests came pouring in for her to make special appearances in many programs, cable shows, Fashion shows and Comedy shows etc. It was not long after, she began traveling locally and out of state SINGING AND MAKING A BIG NOISE IN THE INDUSTRY!!!! As her fan base continues to grow, Victoria was committed to making GOOD music for all to love and enjoy. She continues to grow not only as a singer and a write, she also teamed up with a long time partner Big A and today they are owners and Partners of their own record Label called “KeepNStep Records!” Victoria continues to push forward with her LOVE for music exploring all AVENUES in the MUSIC BUSINESS! Victoria would like to one day own and open up a homeless shelter and a home for pregnant teens. Another Goal was to open up a Daycare/Learning Center and call it “Victoria’s Piece Of Heaven” THIS Goal Victoria has achieved and has been very successful for over 6 years. LASTLY wants to own a restaurant and call it “Victoria's Home.” When asked, what Victoria would like the world to remember her as, she replied, “I want the world to remember me as a STRONG WOMAN who NEVER gave up! Despite the obstacles that I have faced, I am STILL MOTIVATED AND PUSHING TOWARD MY DREAMS. I want the world to see the REAL me, the Beauty inside me, not just outside. I am a GREAT PERSON, a GOD FEARING person and have so much love inside me. Mostly I want to be remembered the same way I came into this life as The One who Sings! But of course in the past tense as “THE ONE WHO SANG!”

Hello all, thank you for coming to Haggard's Blog. The purpose of this blog site is to help educate and inform artists, producers, deejays, and even remixers in the industry. So many times I come across artists with so much talent but are unsure where to go or what to do with it. It is with that in mind that I created this blog site. It is through this blog that I plan to assist in promoting and marketing not only the clients of Haggard Entertainment & Marketing, but also offer the audience a chance to hear, see and read about artists from other genres.
Throughout my career in the music industry I have been approached by international producers, deejays, artists and even remixers to help them gain more exposure in the US market. It is through this site as well as many other facets of social networking that I am able to offer them the chance to be heard. It is also through this blogging site that I am able to offer my clients and even the up and coming artists the chance to have access to many resources that I have available. What sets my own site apart from the rest is the audience that I am able to offer my blog to. Because of my work and even networking within the industry I have been able to connect with and build relationships with many prominant label executives, record pool directors and other industry affiliated organizations and companies.
