Dion Mavath - Salvador (Chris Montana Remix) Dubai's Hidden Gem

Dion Mavath’s DJing and production stature grows as tall, strong and rapidly as the Dubai skyline. All sleek beats, silky vocals and digital deftness. Since the age of 14, Dion took his love affair of all things funky and morphed the magic. One of Australia’s more refreshing exports, Mavath’s love of the precision mix has seen him leap between genres and the glamorous with class.

Asia, Europe, Australia, the US and Africa are feeling it with a hectic international touring schedule but it’s in Dubai where Mavath has risen furthest. As both DJ and promoter, Dion has turned Dubai into a global DJ and clubbing destination.

Crowds of 2000+ at the Peppermint Club were the first to witness the transformation as Dion turned the venue into Dubai’s only superclub and show the worlds top djs that this was a must-check destination, cementing his place in DJ MAGs TOP 100 DJS 2006.

As resident of one of the worlds largest beach clubs, Barasti Beach, thousands weekly have been throbbing to Dion’s latest productions of the eternal summer sound! Being the dj behind the start of some of Dubai’s favorite venues including 360, The Apartment, Blush and C Bar, this year Dion has turned his attention to Quantum (which was just voted number 1 club in Dubai) and the massive Layali Beach Party!

With his debut album WARRIOR, Dion Mavath has added another chapter to an already impressive biography with tracks consistently being played by “A list” djs and radio, with the album going TOP 10 in its second week of release! The first track off the album “Keep on Loving Me” has just been signed to the worlds biggest house music label DEFECTED, after coming top 3 (out of over 15000) in their Big New Producer Competition 2009!

Today, 'Refugee' is announced as one of this summer's anthems, with a release on Sony Music and a video ready soon.

Dion Mavath is a rare commodity; he’s substance and style.

Matthew LeFace: Who the F*&$ is LeFace?

Matthew LeFace

Who is Matthew LeFace?

Music is a pulse that moves through us. It takes us on a journey, and if we’re lucky, a single beat becomes unforgettable.

Matthew LeFace is the man behind that beat.

Born in Buffalo, New York and growing up in Los Angeles, Matthew has given music new life. At 23 years old, he’s already gained some impressive recognition in the industry. From house music moguls Max Vangeli and Prok & Fitch, to pop artists such as Bruno Mars and Selena Gomez, Matthew has worked with a huge range of talent.

In the world of dance music, his work has been supported by some of the most influential in the industry; Axwell, Funkagenda, Markus Schulz, Joachim Garraud, Bad Boy Bill and a plethora of others have all supported LeFace’s work. Recently, his original track, “Roadkill” was signed by Robbie Rivera’s Juicy Music and was featured on the Juicy Bangers compilation.

And the fans are demanding Matthew LeFace as well. His original mix, “Who the F*ck is LeFace” has nearly a quarter million plays and 50,000 downloads. But it doesn’t stop there. Already this year, Matthew’s signature style remixes of artists like Katy Perry and Britney Spears have been favorites among DJ’s and club-goers alike. Clearly, Matthew is making a name for himself, and people are paying attention.

Matthew’s versatility and skill as a producer in both the mainstream pop and house music scene is what has propelled him to the forefront of his profession. Primarily a self-taught producer, Matthew works across many genres and has had many great influences. But the pivotal moment that really grabbed a hold of him came in 2008 when a friend invited him out one night to the Vanguard in Los Angeles to check out an up-and-coming artist by the name of Deadmau5, who at the time was relatively unknown except by dance music enthusiasts.

“After seeing the kind of energy that dance music and the live part of it evokes from the crowd, I knew I wanted that same energy in my music,” explains LeFace.

It was then that his true style was realized. Dance music was, and is, the future.

Shortly after that, Matthew gained the attention of his mentor and now friend, Morris Hayes. Morris has not only been the keyboardist and producer for Prince for 21 years, but is also considered an authority and an icon in the music world. And he helped introduce Matthew to a whole new level of performance.

“Through Prince and Morris I gained a better understanding of the live performance- and keeping it interesting. He (Prince) switches up the routine and gives people something to keep it fresh- say a synthesizer instead of a guitar part. And for me as a DJ, this means new tracks and custom edits, putting a new spin on the songs people have already heard.”

In addition to his DJ gigs and a busy production schedule, Matthew also enjoys working with undiscovered talent from around the globe. He has been known to spot emerging artists, from songwriters to musicians. He offers them direction, keeps them on his radar for future projects, as well as putting them in touch with labels and producers. The goal is to give the world of music something fresh and authentic.
Matthew continues to develop his talent and the work speaks for itself. The music he creates has texture and emotion- the capacity to really create a connection with those that listen.
Armed with a slew of original tracks and remixes, and with support from the world’s top DJ’s and pop artists, along with new management by Ray Ruffin (a name synonymous with Motown), Matthew is set to storm the music world in 2011.

Dairon Skye - Psychedelic: Do you wanna play?

DAIRON SKYE

(CDBaby Download Link)

Bursting onto the music scene in 2007, Dairon Skye has transformed numerous times throughout his career. The changes came in moderation however, as Skye has always been known to push the envelope in his deliveries. Growing up appreciating soulful R & B music, Skye imagined creating a sound for the masses as he was introduced and inspired by several genres by his mid teens.
The self-proclaimed “Fusion” artist has creatively blended his R & B roots with music that he felt was “emotionless”.  “I enjoy several genres of music but I always felt that there was a lost connection as in R & B, the singers sing from their soul. I wanted to bring that element to up-tempo music of any genre. I wanted to make people dance to a love song that was an original and not a remix.”
Nowadays, Skye has entered the world of EDM and is offering his perception of the raver lifestyle with his new release, “Psychedelic”.  The floor thumping bass and the chanting “Do you wanna play” is infectious and seduces the listener to crave more of this underground realization that not many are aware of.
Being an independent artist means just that to Skye – independence! Being able to throw himself within any genre and create something that is unheard of is ultimately his reward.

Being so versatile with his sound is what makes Skye unique with his delivery and is able to have fans from all areas of the world.  A true artist has no boundaries and accepts no limitations. “I take chances and I am blessed to say that I can. One day the right distribution deal will be presented but I will always be true to my fans and myself – I deserve that. I’ve worked hard for that.”
